Celadon translucent glossy glazes create different colour tones on textured or carved surfaces where pooling occurs. Pooling naturally creates visual accents and contrast, it can lead to interesting colour variations and can add depth and dimension to the ceramic surface, offering an extra layer of colour. Recessed areas hold more glaze and often become richer in colour or more glossy, while raised areas remain lighter or more matte, enhancing the overall contrast.
